Finance Options with Denplan
Life often brings us ‘repair bills’ when we can least afford them so we have teamed up with some leading finance and dental service providers that could offer you just the solution you are looking for!

Medenta
You may require urgent restorative treatment or you may like to start the cosmetic treatment you have always promised yourself but it’s just not the right time financially – we may be able to help.
Together with Medenta, we are able to offer you attractive low interest options allowing you to spread your payments over a period of time that suits both you and your pocket. 0% interest is also available on shorter term loans. All finance options are subject to status.
Denplan Essentials
Together with Denplan Essentials we can show you how to save up to 30% off our normal fees for those routine appointments and checkups. By making a contribution to this level of care with a small monthly payment of around £10.00, you will not only have chance to save up to 30% off our normal fees but you will not have to pay for these appointments when you attend.
- 2 x examinations per year
- 2 cleaning sessions by the dentist
- Routine diagnostic x-rays
- Preventative and oral hygiene advice
- Further 5% discount on any additional treatment!
- Access to a 24 hour dental emergency helpline
- Do not have to be dentally fit to join
Denplan Care
You may prefer a more comprehensive package. We can help you here too. After assessing your oral health, when you are dentally fit your dentist will be able to advise you of a level of care to suit you. This will be reflected in the monthly payments that you will be recommended to make which is usually between £12-£35 per month and will cover most of the treatments you are likely to need.
Denplan Care includes everything listed under Denplan Essentials plus(some exclusions apply):
- X-rays
- Necessary fillings
- Periodontal (gum) Treatment
- Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
- Root fillings
OSTAR 2009
One Sailor | One Boat | One Ocean | Many Smiles
 Welling Corner Dental Practice is really pleased to sponsor Roberto Westermann who is taking part in the world renowned OSTAR 2009 Single-handed Race across the Atlantic from Plymouth to Newport, Rhode Island. However, the sponsorship was offered with a condition that he also raised money for Operation Smile.
Dr Erik Lijesen, who is also a keen sailor and principal Dentist at Welling Corner Dental Practice, said “I am very pleased to get involved with this initiative with Roberto as it takes real courage to face a challenge such as this and we wish him real success. Our decision to get involved has been two-fold, to do something positive and help Roberto realise a dream, and at the same time raise much needed funds for Operation Smile UK so young people from all around the World can realise their dream too – to smile confidently.”
 Erik and his Team have been creating beautiful smiles at the Welling Practice for quite a while and seen for themselves the change it can bring to people’s lives, so it was no surprise when colleague Dr Michel Heidweiller, promised to donate £1 to Operation Smile UK for every nautical mile Roberto completes in the race, which if he finishes could notch up 3000 nautical miles!
The winds in the Atlantic can be fearsome and pretty unforgiving, where the smallest mistake can dash any hopes of finishing, in an instant. Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said “The OSTAR is the ultimate solo challenge for amateur sailors and takes a huge amount of courage and skill to compete. This race is truly inspired by legends and sailed by heroes.”

 Operation Smile UK, www.operationsmile.org is part of a global alliance working to bring a quality of life to young people’s lives in some of the poorest areas of the world, where something as simple as a 45 minute treatment for a cleft lip is not available.
